Centro di Ricerca ed Elaborazione Audiovisiva

The Center for Audiovisual Research and Production (CREA) is a training institute specialized in electronic music, audio technologies and multimedia, offering an educational environment that integrates the technological and artistic aspects of training. An integral part of the Licinio Refice Conservatory of Music in Frosinone, CREA hosts students from the three-year and two-year degree programs of the School of Electronic Music and Sound Engineering. The quality of training is founded on an internationally renowned faculty: Marco Massimi (RAI sound engineer), Maurizio Argentieri (sound designer for Woody Allen, George Clooney and others, member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences), Francesco Paris (forty years in production and post-production for major Italian broadcasters), Valerio Murat (composer and visual artist with works at IRCAM Paris, Venice Biennale, Barbican Centre London, ZKM Karlsruhe), Antonino Chiaramonte (composer, sound artist, PhD in Intermedial Audiovisual Composition), Alessandro Cipriani and Maurizio Giri (composers, co-authors of texts on electronic music and sound design for MIT Press and Cambridge University Press, adopted by institutions worldwide).

Keiron LAB is a collective of artists specialized in Virtual Reality and 3D audio. The name recalls Chiron (Keiron), the centaur son of Kronos: a hybrid creature with augmented intelligence, symbol of multiplicity in the arts and sciences, educator of heroes and gods. This mythological figure embodies the transcendence of all antagonism between tradition and experimentation, representing the reunion of memory and future, of Goodness and Beauty.

Active since 2018 and funded by the Gottifredo co-working space in Alatri and the Terzo Pilastro Foundation in Rome, it is coordinated by Valerio Murat and composed of former CREA students with musical and multimedia training focused on audiovisual technologies: Federico Acosta Rios, Samuel Amenta, Eugenio Cecchini, Walter Corneli, Elia Dell'Orco, Fabio Fornaro, Benedetto Gulino, Lorenzo Pandolfi, Gianluca Rotondi, Gabriele Teti, Matteo Tomasetti. The collective operates with a bold approach to audiovisual and video game research, integrating traditional elements with new technologies to redefine the artistic experience in immersive digital environments, establishing new standards of fruition through intermedial and interactive experiences.
